Dear Friends,
I am Usama from Bethlehem, I do work at Wi’am and we can offer services to visiting groups I can say that we have the capacity to welcome groups and orient them on the general socio-political situation and the prospects for peace in the area. In our orientation we also highlight the Palestinian situation and debriefing them on our outreach work as a civic society organization working to promote peace, reconciliation, justice and dialogue of cultures. We also have long term expertise in hosting groups with local families, cooking a wide variety of traditional meals for the groups, organizing a cultural evening and visits to families representing the Holy stones in the areas.
As our premises is adjacent to the Separation Wall and Aida refugee camp in north of Bethlehem, we have the advantage to show the kind of living the Palestinians are enduring and also the space to welcome the groups in a friendly environment in which our women volunteers would cook an exquisite meal for the group in which we share stories in the “Peace garden” at the Centre.
At the end, it would be a great privilege to discuss areas of cooperation with your respected group and establish a networking that can help us deliver a grassroots perspective the visitors who are looking for a human stories that show Palestine and its inhabitants as worth seeing and visiting.
Best regards
