San Angelo Texas State Park – This particular park is easy to walk but certain precautions must be taken. First clothing should be light and cool, and consider longer pants and shirts if prone to sunburn. Second, you must bring water, and pay close attention to your own body while staying hydrated. The Texas state park is about ten minutes from the town of San Angelo Texas, and very close to the Goodfellow Air Force Base. This is one of those parks that are close by to everything from hotels, restaurants to some cold to drink when you’re done. We also saw several people with their dogs them having fun, and the experience is also family-friendly. So next time you’re in San Angelo please take the time to visit this Texas State Park and let us know in the comments if you find the longhorn cattle and buffalo this also live in the park.

Make sure to subscribe and like our videos so others see them as well. We don’t earn money from these and just post them as an additional resource to our other content on our website at https://ExploreTraveler.com

Juneau Alaska 🏴󠁵󠁳󠁡󠁫󠁿🚶😊Downtown Walking Tour | #juneau #alaska #excursions

We take you from the cruise ship port along the dock shoreline and around downtown Juneau. Get an idea of how Juneau looks before you get to Alaska, and hear my tips and information about the area. Also, take a look at our website where we have a large Alaska Travel and Moving guide with articles, photos, and videos of Juneau and around Alaska.

We have also begun a new travel guide for Alaska using our own content. Alaska businesses do change but from an adventure travel standpoint, nature stays fairly stable there but with some warming changes in the north. Our new guide has videos showing what it’s like to travel the Alaska ferry system AKA the Marine Highway. The link here: https://exploretraveler.com/alaska_travel_and_moving_faq/ will give you an edge since everything is real from our own perspective. We have extensive articles and videos showing businesses and areas of Denali State Park and our extensive photograph collection will also give you an idea of what to expect. Flying to remote locations from Juneau is also common and here is a link to my flights in small aircraft that I did manage to capture from the cockpit of the plane here: https://youtu.be/WGxzxDctk74 Juneau is the gateway to the Alaska Southeast and a short flight to Skagway, Haines or more can be taken for these short flights. The Ferry ride is also available and we like to just walk on and walk off into Skagway since it’s a short walk to the hotels downtown. In Juneau, we recommend the 4 points by Sheraton (Marriott Owned now). In Skagway, we like Sgt. Preston’s and it’s simple, clean, warm, and roomy enough. It’s also a short walk to food and the old Skagway experience year around. Winters are milder and we like unique photography during this time.

The Philippines Sailfin Dragon Lizards Are Amazing Creatures

Sailfin dragons are impressive-looking lizards found in the tropical regions of eastern Indonesia, New Guinea, and the Philippines. The largest of the agamid family, these water-loving lizards are usually found basking in or near mountain streams. They flee at the first sight of danger, typically running bipedally into the water until they sink and swim away. Their ability to hide underwater for up to an hour helps to ensure any threats pass. Read this blog https://exploretraveler.com/sailfin-dragon-lizards-from-the-philippines/ if you want to know more about Sailfin Dragon Lizards.

The nature of the Philippines is wonderous and full of many creatures to see. This particular lizard is unique in its ability to just hang around and provides many opportunities to take photographs and videos of them once you find them. Our recommendation is to go to South Leyte and maybe around the outskirts of Ormoc City, you can find them.

We normally hire a driver for this kind of trip and always keep your security by being aware of your surroundings. You can fly into Tacloban and then drive south or around the island enjoying a rich nature and very friendly people along the way.

The Tepe Sialk Ziggurat Of The Siyalk Culture – Ancient Iran

Signup for our Newsletter Email here:
https://mailchi.mp/544d66e78709/subscribe-to-exploretraveler
The Tepe Sialk ziggurat is known to be the earliest culture in Iran, and the Siyalk culture found in the north-central part of that land at Tepe Siyalk near Kashan and Chashmah Ali near Teheran. The Siyalk culture is the earliest known culture of the pre-Halaf cultures of northern Mesopotamia and Syria. The area around this site has been dated back to 7500 BC and the temple base structure has been preliminarily dated to around 3000 BC. The structure of the Tepe Sialk structure or (ziggurat) is very similar to the more recent structures built in southern Mesopotamia.

There are times when I begin to plan our travels based on my interests and the type of history I might find. My writings and research and normally centered around ancient sites and the Tepe Sialk Ziggurat is one of those lesser-known sites due to its location being in Iran. Now one may or may not have difficulty getting there depending on where they are from and the passport they carry. We may not be able to get there today but wanted to shed some light on this location so others may be able to visit even if we cannot today. I recently looked at this site up again and found there to be much more available, and the current anthropologists in Iran to be continuing to write papers on their findings there. I’m going to be adding some additional information here along with photographs of some of the pottery they have found.
