A Ramly burger wrapped in egg was the highlight of this roadside food stop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this 21-second Short, John and Karen Gentry describe the cook spreading an egg on the hotplate, adding burger patties and cheese, and folding the egg around the stack. Plenty of sauce finishes the order.
This is a moment from our longer Malaysia travel video, rather than a new restaurant visit. Watch the egg-wrap explanation below, then use the full story and planning links to build your own food shortlist.

What happens in the egg wrap?
The egg is spread into a thin layer before the burger goes on top. In the order we describe, the cook adds a patty, cheese and another patty, then folds the egg over the filling. The egg surrounds the stack instead of simply sitting on top of the burger.
In the full video, we compare this with an order that has extra cheese and no egg wrap. For us, the wrapped version brought the egg, meat, cheese and sauces together in one very generous bite. The sauce also made it messy: keeping everything inside the bun was part of the experience. Those are our reactions to this particular order, rather than a promise that every stall serves the same version.
The Kuala Lumpur street-food setting
We ate at a roadside table in central Kuala Lumpur and could see the Petronas Twin Towers from our spot. The longer video captures the busy surroundings, our first bites and the different burgers on the table. We also mention finding the vendor after its location had changed, so the footage should not be treated as a current stall address or opening-hours listing.

Questions to ask before you order
- Does this version include an egg wrap, cheese or an extra patty?
- Which sauces are included, and can you ask for less sauce or chili?
- What is the current total for the order you have chosen?
- Is there somewhere to sit and eat while the burger is fresh?
Our footage is not a complete ingredient list. Ask the vendor directly about ingredients that matter to you. The original long-form video used a “$1” title, but that archived description is not a verified price for a visit today.
