Research your entry rules before you travel.
Build a personal checklist for visa questions, travel documents and permitted activities. Keep your research organized using official government sources, then save or export your notes.
No login, purchase or email required. We do not determine visa eligibility or grant permission to work. También en español: descargar cuaderno (PDF).

1. Describe your intended trip
Visa requirements depend on citizenship, purpose, duration and individual circumstances. A tourist admission does not automatically authorize employment or remote work.
2. Check official entry information
Open the destination’s immigration or consular authority and check the requirements that apply to your passport and planned activities. The U.S. State Department page is intended primarily for U.S. citizens and does not replace the destination government’s rules.

3. Mark the research you have completed
These are research prompts, not a universal list of required documents. Mark an item only after checking the rules that apply to your circumstances.
4. Turn research into a practical travel plan
