Russian would also have been a great choice but the opportunity never happened. It was my international exposure that gave me the opportunity to learn languages and cultures. I had to learn this the hard way. There is no amount of exercise, healthy eating, or vitamins that can replace sleep. Without it, you will begin to succumb to simple sinus infections, ear infections, common colds, flu viruses, and yes even Covid19. So make sure to plan and prepare for sleep.15. Make sure to schedule a time to re-stock your travel pharmacy on the road. This particular tip is not difficult and can be fairly cheap overseas. However the products will be in another language, but I have found that people who work in pharmacies around the world to be very friendly.16. Ziplock bags can solve a lot of problems so take several. This simple little bag has so many uses. I put my wallet in one to keep it from getting so sweaty and to protect my social security card does not get destroyed again. I also like to store extra cash in one for the hotel safe, and I use them for medicine, matches to start my campfires, and much more.17. Understand and get certified in basic life-saving first aid. These days this can be done online, and make sure to get them an in-person hands-on training portion. Your local fire department or The Red Cross can help you. 27. You are only as good as your weakest link. So consider others in your travel party and ensure they stay healthy or you could pay the price later on. You must take care of others around you, and this could be as simple as the basics of food, water, and shelter. But there could be times overseas where you need to be observant of heat exhaustion, dehydration, or more.
