Taiwan’s Magnificent Date Palms: Nature’s Doctor

Taiwan’s Magnificent Date Palms reign over all the other fruit bearing trees. When you glance at Taiwan’s Magnificent Date Palms , it is hard to understand that it is related to the Magnolia. Amazing as it may seem, the Date Palm is also related to the Lily plant. The Magnolia has been able to adapt to most of the warmer climates of the world. It most likely is this inherited trait that makes the Date Palm so strong and able to adapt to many climates.

Palms are tropical and subtropical trees and grow all over the world. They grow well in California, Hawaii, Florida, and through out the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Taiwan’s Magnificent Date Palms provide palm oil, and date sugar. The fruit is extremely good to eat, nutritious, and has medicinal purposes. Many people also use the leaves as thatch for their roof and for the material to make baskets and things like mats and place mats. Every part of the Date Palm is used.
