Juneau Alaska🏴󠁵󠁳󠁡󠁫󠁿🚶😊 4th of July Parade – #travel #alaska #juneau

Juneau is a very small town, and Alaska, in general, does not have too many lower 48 styles of events. The 4th of July is one of those rare holidays where everyone from remote islands, and around the territory take the time to be in town for. The small-town feel, and a BBQ afterward to end the day with additional fireworks from the locals at around 11pm.

Petroglyph National Monument – Piedras Marcadas Canyon Trail

This area of trails is made up of three separate petroglyphs trails, and then another three for the volcanic trail system. This is the third in the series and the Piedras Marcadas Canyon Trail. The black hills cover a series of small hills with a large number of petroglyphs around it all the way to the top. This particular trail is well maintained and easy to get to from the main road. Being close to the city of Albuquerque allows for easy access and quick short hikes during your stay.

Petroglyphs National Monument New Mexico- Rinconada Canyon Trail – John Gentry

The area of trails is made up of three of just petroglyphs and then another three for the volcanic trail system. This is the second in the series and the Rinconada Canyon Trail. The black covers a series of small hills with a large number of petroglyphs around it all the way to the top. This particular trail is well maintained and easy to get to from the main road. There are times when the trail is just large rocks that you must climb over or go around. To complete this trail you follow the signs and make sure to veer right in order to take the longer route that will allow you to see a petroglyph or two up close.
